We honor the memory of our sister Maerinn.

On April 21, 2001 we performed a small memorial service for Maerinn, who passed on March 9, 2001. The following day, Earth Day, we planted a tree in her honor in her favorite woods and read the following poem:

There's a very special garden
Where the trees of memory grow
Nurtured by the kindness
And concern that good friends show.
The roots are cherished memories
Of good times in the past
The branches tender promises
That souls endure and last.
It's a place of peace and beauty
Where bright new hopes can start
It's memory's lovely garden
That soothes the grieving heart.

Here is the tree that was planted:

Here is a patch the coven made for Maerinn, which will be added to the Religious Freedom Quilt.

Maerinn loved gardening and daisies, used the frog as her goddess symbol, had a beautiful singing voice and was full of sunshine and laughter.
